We believe strongly in using the world around us to provide real and stimulating learning experiences. As the children progress through the school, an increasing range of opportunities are given to visit places of educational interest related to school work.
In Year 4 children spend a day at Water Park near Coniston participating in a range of outdoor activities. In Year 6, children take part in a residential trip to an outdoor activity centre at Robinwood, Alston. We are concerned with developing the individual child and these visits allow children to experience a wide range of activities not available on the Croftlands site. All of the visits are covered by the school's policy concerning charging for school activities and visits away from the school site.
Mr Simon Cross is the Educational Visits Co-ordinator.
