We provide a meals service at Croftlands and a hot meal, including a vegetarian option, and dessert are offered daily. The menu is on the Lunch Shop website and meals must be pre-ordered. Alternatives of sandwiches, jacket potatoes with a choice of fillings, salad, fruit and yoghurt are usually available daily. Special meals can be provided on completion of a special diet sheet available from the school office.
For those children requiring school meals, payment is required in advance, and made through Lunch Shop, our online booking system. The current charge is £2.30 per meal. Please indicate on the Admission Form if you wish your child to have a school dinner and we will arrange an online account for you.
Children who do not go home at dinner time may bring a packed lunch. Water is provided but children can bring their own water if they wish. Other drinks are discouraged. We would be grateful if drinks could be supplied in a screw-topped, plastic container, to minimise breakages.
Children staying at school at lunchtime are cared for by our team of Mid-day Supervisors.
Free school meals are available for those who qualify and the school also receives additional funding (Pupil Premium) for every child registered (even if they do not wish to take the meal). Please register online in the Schools area of Education and Learning at Cumbria Children's Services or contact the school office for further details.
We are able to provide milk for the children and at present the cost is approximately £15 per term. Milk has to ordered and paid for in advance through the Coolmilk website. Details are available from the school office.
